A field expedition on Initium
You wake on Initium after several days unconscious. Your survey ship is missing. The Landing Station still has power, but none of your crew answers your call. Reach the station and look for clues.

Your expedition unlocks the book. These scenes expand the field records; some details are literary.
Auto starts at Balanced on touch-capable devices and High otherwise, then adapts resolution to sustained frame times. Long slow periods can also reduce shadows and HUD blur. Manual presets stay fixed; antialiasing stays enabled.
WASD pans the editor view without moving the explorer. Move the mouse over land to position a new claim. Select a model or click a placed model to edit it; move the mouse over land or another model to position it, middle-drag to rotate, X/C to raise/lower it by 0.25 m, Shift+scroll to scale, and scroll to zoom. Space releases a moving preview and restores its saved object. Click the scene or use Place/Apply to save. Left-drag orbits; in Terrain height, left-drag paints and right-drag orbits.
Natural creature spawns are cleared with either choice. Uncheck to level the plot and clear scenery. Existing water and protected site footprints remain unchanged.
Flatten applies and saves the whole plot at its original center height, clears brush edits and natural scenery, and keeps placed models and NPCs. Water, banks and protected sites stay unchanged. Undo restores the previous surface.
Left-drag paints a circular, soft-edged brush. Release to apply and save the stroke. Hold Shift to reverse Raise/Lower. Right-drag orbits; the wheel zooms. Water, banks and protected sites stay unchanged.
